Your Privacy Choices

MarkVox is designed to give users control over account data, saved highlights, notes, source metadata, accessibility preferences, privacy preferences, exports, and deletion requests.

Current in-app controls live in Profile -> Data & Privacy.

Export Your Data

You can export account data from Profile -> Data & Privacy.

Delete Highlights

You can delete highlights from the Library.

Deleted highlights move to Recently Deleted for a 7-day restore window. After the restore window, deleted highlights become eligible for permanent cleanup.

Unsaved Capture Cleanup

Unsaved page captures that are not linked to a saved highlight are eligible for cleanup after 7 days.

MarkVox currently runs this cleanup from the app when the authenticated user opens the app, at most once per user per day.

Request Account Deletion

You can request account deletion from Profile -> Data & Privacy.

The current app uses a typed DELETE confirmation before submitting a request. Once submitted, MarkVox records the request in account storage and may verify details before processing.

When processed, account deletion should remove or anonymize:

Limited records may be retained where required for legal, security, abuse-prevention, or accounting reasons.

Current Processing Target

Account deletion is request-based while MarkVox is in the beta-readiness stage.
